COACHING PROFILES
Coach John Doldoorian (16's National Elite Team): Director South Central Sharks' AAU 1995 to present. Head Coach South Central Sharks 1995 to present. Head Coach Oxford High School Varsity Girls 1987 to 2006, career record 325 wins and 107 losses. Central Mass Division 2 Coach of the Year 6 times. State Champions 1992 and 1993. State Finalists 2001. Central Mass District Champions 1991, 1992, 1993, 2001, 2002 and 2005. Over the last two years, this Elite team has garnered a record of 59 wins and 6 losses at some of the most prestigious tournaments in the northeast. As always, they will be going to Penn State for the National tournament.
Coach Brittney Bishop (16 Elites): Brittney is currently the head Varsity Basketball Coach at Grafton High School. She is a graduate of Assumption College where she played basketball after receiving a four-year scholarship. Last year, Brittney worked with the Sharks as Coach Doldoorian's assistant with the 16-year-old National Elite Showcase Team. Brittney, a former Shark herself, will bring extensive knowledge and a current understanding of the college game to the organization.
Coach Jim Gomes (15's): Jim has been with the Sharks' program since 2002 when he started coaching with them after his daugthers finished their Sharks' and high school careers. Currently he is the Oxford Middle School Girls' Basketball coach, a position he has held for the past 6 years. Prior to that, Jim was the highly successful girls' coach at St. Anne's School of Webster for a number of years. Jim has been involved in coaching for the past 35 years and in 1983 received citations from the Massachusett House of Representatives, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senate for "Dedicated Service to the Development of Youth".
Richard and Claire Harrington (14s): Entering their third year with the Sharks, Rich had a successful basketball career at Becker College and currently is an assistant with the Oxford Middle School Basketball program. Claire was an all-league performer and MVP for Lewis and Clark University in Idaho. Upon graduation, she played and coached professionally in New Zealand.
Keith Duquette (12s): Coach Duquette brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to the Sharks' organization. Having played his high school basketball at Northbridge High, he returned to be a Northbridge High School Varsity Assistant Coach for four years. Additionally, he was a member of the Milford Referees Board #208 for a number of years. He has been a basketball camp clinician at Bryant University, Brandeis University and Framingham State College, as well as Uxbridge High School, North Brookfield High School, Leicester High School and the Whitinsville Christian School. We are excited to add Coach Duquette to our knowledgeable staff.
